Jamboree Regulations

General Rules

  1. This event is a "jamboree" and no results are kept. It is the hope that all participants remember that the purpose is to have fun.
  2. Please have your team clean up your area at the end of the day.
  3. Please tell your players to keep their equipment with them at all times. First Class Lacrosse Plus is not responsible for any lost or stolen equipment.
  4. Arguing with officials by coaches, players or parents will not be tolerated. Any individual or group who violates this policy will be removed from the property. There are no warnings. You are responsible for informing all members of your group of this policy.
  5. Game Rules:
    • Games will start immediately at the time scheduled, there are no warm ups on the field, unless you are the first game in the morning or the first game in the afternoon.
    • Games will consist of one 25 minute running time game. An air horn will blow to start and end each game
    • There will be no extra man situations. All penalties will consist of the offending player being removed from the field, a new player being placed on the field, and a fast break starting play.
    • There will be no time outs.
    • Due to the short length of games, the officials can, at any time, call a team for delay of game. It is expected that every time a team has the ball, they will advance it into the offensive box. The "keep it in" rule shall be enforced at the end of the game.
    • When one team is leading by four or more goals there shall be no face-off if a goal is scored and the team losing will start with a free clear.
  6. Schedule:

Fastest Shot Contest

  1. Teams will be assigned specific times during the day to participate
  2. One team at a time will approach the goal
  3. Use the same shooting spot for all players (12 yards from the goal) and the shooter can not step over that spot at any time on his shot or his follow through
  4. Goalies will go first, defensemen second, midfielders third and attack men fourth
  5. Each player gets 2 consecutive shots; no do-overs are allowed
  6. All players must wear full equipment but they can use any stick
  7. The shot must go in for it to count
  8. All other players must remain 5 yards behind the shooter
  9. First Class Lacrosse Plus will record the fastest shot from each team and at the end of the day these speeds will be reviewed and the single player with the fastest shot of the entire grade level (5, 6, 7, 8) will win a prize
  10. At the end of the day, if there is a tie, each player in the tie will get one more shot and the fastest of these new shots will win as the old speeds will not be used for the tie-breaker. If there is a second tie, then each player will get another shot and the old speeds will once again be tossed out and only the new shot will count. This format will continue until there is a winner.
